What makes TraceAssure different?

Unlike most anti-phishing products, the TraceAssure toolbar does not rely on a "blacklist" database. A blacklist is a list of known malicious sites. The number one problem with a blacklist is that new malicious sites go online every hour and it is impossible for any organization to know every one of these sites. Therefore malicious sites can slip through the cracks until enough people fall victim.

The TraceAssure toolbar instead uses the same principals that are applied to national security software such as firewalls. The principal is to deny unless explicitly permitted. This means that the toolbar is only guaranteeing sites that have been registered and authenticated by TraceSecurity.

In addition, not only does the TraceAssure toolbar authenticate the web site, it also displays the name of the site or organization you are visiting. This added level of security protects you from an authenticated web site attempting to pose as another company.
